The Tailfeathers of Two Cities - The Unlikely Link Between Leeds and Washington, D.C.

As much as it's important to decipher symbolism and establish its relevance, meaning and purpose, this cannot be done without first recognising its presence. In my first two posts I have demonstrated how Leeds' architecture and geography have been manipulated to correspond with that of Giza, but I've refrained from speculating as to why this has been done. This entry follows a similar theme. Make of it what you will and feel free to leave a message if you have any suggestions as to the significance of the following correspondence

The National Press Club considers itself the world's leading professional organizations for journalists. It is located in Wasington D.C. and its membership consists of journalists, former journalists, government information officers, and those considered to be regular news sources. It is well-known for its gatherings with invited speakers from public life

Founded in 1908, every US president since Theodore Roosevelt has visited the club, and all since Warren Hardinghave been members. Most have spoken from the club's podium. Others who have appeared at the club include monarchs, Prime Ministers and premiers, members of Congress, officials, ambassadors, scholars, entertainers, business leaders and athletes. Speculation as the the meaning of each of the emblem's elements is rife and I'll leave a list of links discussing owl shapes in Washington D.C.'s streets and whatnot at the bottom of this post, but, for now, I'd just like to concentrate on the fact that there's a correspondence between Leeds and Washington

So here we have an owl and an Alladin's lamp stood on a book, next to a serpentine figure, in front of the Capitol Building (a civic building with a domed tower, not unlike Leeds Town Hall), behind which shines the sun. Laurel leaves, a quill and some writing complete the picture. Those of us familiar with occult symbolism won't be surprised to see the owl, serpent and lamp, but where's the Leeds link?

The now derelict York Road library - a public building like the Town Hall, Civic Hall and Institute - is home to an unusual mosaic. On the floor of the library, a place for books, is depicted an owl, an Alladin's lamp and some laurel leaves

Is this a coincidence? Did the designer of the York Road library mosaic just happen to choose the same random symbols the designer of the National Press Club emblem chose just four years later? Or is there a significance to these symbols? Could civic leaders, town planners, high-ranking journalists, entertainers and politicians really be literate in a transatlantic secret symbolic language which we, the profane, aren't invited to understand?

The Dark Secret of Leeds: Chapter II - Buckling Orion's Belt: The Mystery of Leeds' Celestial Trinity

Ever since I discovered what I consider to be a symbolic rendition of Giza in Leeds, something important has been missing. As I have demonstrated, we have four elements, the Aire acting as the Nile, the Town Hall acting as the Great Sphinx, the Civic Hall acting as the Pyramid of Khafre and the Institute acting as the Great Pyramid of Khufu. But where is the third pyramid of Giza, the Pyramid of Menkaure? If, as I believe to be the case, urban planning policy in Leeds has worked according to this Masterplan for over 150 years, why has this significant monument seemingly been overlooked?

I initally assumed that the overall plan was a broad homage to Giza, as opposed to a precise scaled-down copy. The main reason for this assumption was the absence of the Pyramid of Menkaure. If you look at this aerial photo of the site, you will see where Menkaure ought to be, but where nothing actually is. A non-descript University building occupied the site until its recent demolition.

I therefore assumed that there may possibly be a site of significance to this Masterplan in the university and hospital complexes, which are more-or-less in the general area where Menkaure ought to be. But there was certainly nothing which indicated that there was a precise symbolic version of Menkaure in the Masterplan.

When you start to consider the mysteries of Giza, you inevitably come across the work of Graham Hancock and Robert Bauval and their Orion Correlation Theory. This theory, in a nutshell, proposes that the three main pyramids of Giza correlate with three stars in the constellation of Orion which make up Orion's Belt. They also propose that the Nile and Great Sphinx are accurate reflections of the Milky Way and constellation of Leo respectively.

Leaving aside clues encoded within the city's architecture, for the time being at least, we can turn our attention to Leeds' Coat-of-Arms which happens to depict three stars, or a "celestial trinity," along with three owls and the Masonic Top Hat worn by Worshipful Masters.

But of what use is this to me? If the Leeds Institute is the Great Pyramid of Khufu and the star of Alnitak, and the Leeds Civic Hall is the Pyramid of Khafre and star of Alnilam, where in Leeds is the Pyramd of Menkaure and star of Mintaka? Note how Mintaka (top left) takes the form of a sphere within a circle

As you can see, I've put a big star on the implied site of Menkaure/Mintaka (top left) within the Leeds Masterplan, but as I've shown, there is nothing of interest there

But the research of Hancock and Bauval posed another question. If Giza is symbolic of Orion, is Leeds symbolic of Giza, or of Orion also? If the latter is true, then why necessarily must any of Leeds' monuments take the form of pyramids?

In my first article I explain how I picked up the trail of this mystery at Leeds Civic Hall, a building which incorporates a number of pyramids (and other occult symbols), but isn't pyramidical in form. Nor is the Institute particularly pyramidical in design, save for the pyramid with missing capstone (symbolic of Khufu's pyramid) which decorates the roof above the main entrance.

It therefore follows that the implied site of Menkaure need not accomodate a pyramid at all, if it primarily represents the star of Mintaka.

So I looked once more at the site, wary that I was in danger of attributing signficance to any benign old building which may have once stood there. If the Masterplan is real, those responsible haven't exactly hid it, so there ought to have been something prominent and significant on that site at some point, but there was nothing. A series of boring buildings had given way to a plot of wasteland which would soon be home to ... A GIANT WEIRD SUN ORB EYE THING!

Remember the picture of the star of Mintaka further up? The "sphere within a circle"?

I won't go into Sun Worship here, save to say that it frequently comes up when researching occult matters. In fact, Millenium Square, around which these symbolic monuments are sited, has a history of hosting both a floral sun and a solarium designed by Cuthbert Brodrick, architect of both Leeds' Sphinx and Great Pyramid.

This big golden orb is a proposed building which will house the Senator George Mitchell Centre for Peace and Conflict Resolution at the Leeds Metropolitan University School of Applied Global Ethics

I therefore conclude that there is indeed a Masterplan that, at the very least, is commited to bringing a Giza-style symbolic rendition of Orion to the streets of Leeds. What's more, this has been unfolding for over 150 years and is depicted on the city's Coat-of-Arms which date back to the restoration of the Monarchy and Charles II in 1662

On the 23rd January 2008 I was browsing a collection of photos of my hometown, Leeds in England. I noticed an abundance of occult symbols on various buildings and, when I looked deeper, I stunned myself with what I found

I am about to expose Leeds' most unlikely secret and offer compelling evidence of a covert agenda which has influenced generations of town planning in the city

For decades, an elephant has been making himself comfortable in Leeds' living room and, until now, nobody has pointed him out. Allow me to demonstrate how Leeds' Civic Quarter is no-less than a symbolic rendition of the unfathomably mysterious Giza Necropolis.

Over the course of this post, I will take you on the same journey of discovery I made just a few days ago

Millenium Square was officially opened by Nelson Mandela on Apr 30 2001. It cost £12m to build and was Leeds' flagship project to mark the year 2000. Prior to its use as a public square, the area was known as Mandela Gardens and, from above, was host to a floral "sun."

Sitting at the top of the square is Leeds Civic Hall, opened by King George V on August 23rd 1933, it is the seat of local government and literally teeming with occult and Egyptian symbolism and it is where our journey begins

This is one of the Portland stone twin towers of the Civic Hall. The first stage is surrounded by Corinthian columns rising to a bell tower capped by a pediment. On the top of the final stage an obelisk shaped spire and a gilt bronze owl sit

Further owls sit atop further obelisks and watch over the square. Thousands gather here for gigs and to watch international football on the big screen

The overall design of the building incorporates many pyramids, owls and obelisks. In fact, from this angle, Leeds Civic Hall presents 9 pyramids and 11 windows

So here we have an important civic building covered with allusions to ancient Egypt. It could be a coincidence and is hardly the Great Pyramid of Khafre. Or is it? Well, let's see

If you stood in front of the Pyramid of Khafre and looked to your left, you'd see the Great Pyramid of Khufu with its famous missing capstone

What do you see if you stand in front of the Civic Hall and look to your left? A pyramid with a missing capstone? Judge for yourself

What you actually see is the Leeds Institute, designed by Cuthbert Brodrick as a facility intended to "educate the working man". As you can see, the Institute is topped with a design which represents a pyramid with no capstone, just like the Great Pyramid of Khufu

The Institute is currently undergoing renovation, having been used as a theatre in recent years, and is set to reopen as a Leeds City Museum. The main exhibit will be the mummy of Natsef-Amun, a high priest in ancient Egypt. I hope to write an article on the significance of this in the near future

If you stood in front of the Pyramid of Khafre and looked at 1 o'clock, you would see the famous Sphinx of Giza; a large-bodied edifice with limbs in each corner, paws at the front and a head rising above the entrance

What we see is Leeds Town Hall, also designed by Cuthbert Brodrick, and opened by Queen Victoria in 1858

Now let's look at the relative locations of Leeds Civic Hall/Pyramid of Khafre, Leeds Institute/Great Pyramid of Khufu (missing capstone) and the Great Sphinxes of Leeds and Giza

As the river Nile runs through Giza it splits in two as it courses either side of an island. This natural feature forms something resembling a smiling mouth underneath which lay the monuments of Giza

As the river Aire runs through Leeds, its course is purposely diverted and forms, with the Leeds-Liverpool canal, an island in the river. This island resembles a smiling mouth underneath which lay the monuments of the Civic Quarter

It is clear that different generations have manipulated the urban landscape and erected monuments in order to bring to Leeds an alignment of buildings and geography which are a direct representation of their ancient Egyptian counterparts; the design and juxtaposition of Leeds' foremost civic buildings are, astonishingly, acting as a secret symbolic rendition of the Giza plateau

As the first person to put pen to paper, in this case finger to keyboard, on this phenomenon, I can only conclude, initially, that this has been done in secret according to a masterplan which pre-dates us by at least 150 years. By who and for what reason is unclear, at least for now ...
